Salento is a quaint little cafe tucked away among the shops and boutiques in the heart of the Rice Village in Houston, Texas. The small menu features cheese and nut plates, paninis, and salads. They specialize in single source coffees by day and boutique wines by night, including the 1150 from Bodega Ikal.
Salento features only 30 wines, with a great representation of small production wines from South America and Europe. Unique, hard to find wines go well with the boutique ambiance of the space that features entertainment including wine tastings, live music, and tango dancing in the evening.

Getting There
From Upper Kirby, head south on Kirby 2 miles south of I-59 Southwest Freeway, turn east on Rice Boulevard and drive 1/4 mile. From the Rice Village, Salento Cafe & Wine Bar is located at the corner of Rice Blvd & Morningside Dr. You may park anywhere in the Rice Village.

About Salento Cafe
Deep golden color with enveloping aromas of tropical fruit, citrus hints, and minerals. A nice balance of vanilla and toast inspire complexity and elegance. Initially sweet and concentrated in the mouth with balance and complexity that flows into a fresh and lasting finish.
Deep red color with intense aromas of dark fruit, spices and minerals meld with oaky vanilla. An elegant, richly concentrated wine with complexity and structure.
Intense inky color with violet hues. Plum, ripe cherry, and floral on the nose with dry fruit and mint hints. Great concentration and complexity with sweet, voluminous tannins and a lasting finish.
