Many talents have come together to make 1150 a success and like a good wine our group is refined, elegant and pleasant.
A native Argentine with relentless dedication and enthusiastic motivation. He has surrounded himself with only the best in the wine industry to make this project a success. Daniel has carried 1150 from an idea to a reality. He is a successful entrepreneur by nature and a connoisseur of fine wines; he finds himself in his element and knows what it takes to make 1150 a renowned name in the wine industry.
Ricardo Alvarez, Vigneron
Ricardo is a native Argentine who lives in Valle de Uco Mendoza where he has made a name for himself as a agricultural engineer and enologist. Over the past 30 years he has been involved in the growth of some of the most important vineyards, wine lodges and agricultural developments in Mendoza.
At Ikal 1150, Ricardo puts that experience to work, growing fruit that is personally farmed, harvested, and vinified.
Luis Martinez, Winemaker
Luis is a native Argentine from Mendoza who has grown up around wine making from his earliest years.
Upon gratuating Colegio in San Jose, Argentina, Luis worked in both old-world and new-world winemaking, including Chateau Lapalu in France and La Crema and Kendall Jackson in the United States.
Luis has come back to his home in Mendoza to produce the Ikal 1150, our limited production, 100% varietal wines.
Sandra and Jerry are a Houston couple who pursued a dream to plant a vineyard, create a wine, and share their passion for food and wine with friends. The dream became a reality when they teamed up with Daniel Silva, an Argentinean partner in Ikal del Mar, the small hotel where they met. Together they have assembled a team to grow the best grapes and produce some of the finest wines in Argentina.
The couple live in Houston with their daughter. Together, they oversee the importation, distribution, sales, and marketing of the 1150 wines in the United States and abroad.
Sandra Beltran
Sandra handles the marketing and public relations for the vineyard in the United States, Mexico, and Europe.
Sandra's other job is Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Prohotel International, a small luxury hotel manager and operator. She was integral in the concept creation and implementation at luxury boutique properties including La Pleta in Baqueira, Spain and Esencia and Ikal del Mar in Mexico’s Riviera Maya. Sandra attended the University of Houston and is fluent in English and Spanish.
Jerry Ward
Jerry has a passion for wines, at 1150 he directs the importation, distribution, and compliance for the 1150 Brand in the United States.
He is a partner at HSYS INC, an Oracle technology consulting firm. Here he assists Texas clients with all things Oracle, including database and the Oracle E-Business Suite. Jerry attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas and is fluent in English and proficient in Spanish.
Fernando Campillo
Architects – Fernando Campillo a native Mexican mostly known for his work on the Small Luxury Hotels Ikal del Mar and Hotel Esencia and the luxury community Ikal Living in the Riviera Maya has combined efforts with Javier Silva the Argentinean Architect. Javier is the writer and founder of the “DSArq” study. He has been sought out by clients such as Citibank, Diners, HSBC Bank, Scotia Bank, Thermac, Proideas among others to head their projects.Javier Silva

Samir Saab is the President of Prohotel International and has extensive experience in the travel and hospitality industry. Working with the Luxury market for over 25 years has given them insight into the demands of the upscale market. His team's success in marketing has put their clients in a category of their own, earning them worldwide recognition.
Deep red color with intense aromas of dark fruit, spices and minerals meld with oaky vanilla. An elegant, richly concentrated wine with complexity and structure.
Deep golden color with enveloping aromas of tropical fruit, citrus hints, and minerals. A nice balance of vanilla and toast inspire complexity and elegance. Initially sweet and concentrated in the mouth with balance and complexity that flows into a fresh and lasting finish.
Intense inky color with violet hues. Plum, ripe cherry, and floral on the nose with dry fruit and mint hints. Great concentration and complexity with sweet, voluminous tannins and a lasting finish.
